Classified Personnel Positions

The Huntington Beach Union High School District has a large number of employees in over 130 different job titles in the classified service.

The jobs are both full and part-time and cover a variety of areas including clerical, maintenance, computers, accounting, food service, bus driving, police officer, and instructional aides.

Selection Procedures: The district operates under the Merit System for classified positions.  All positions are filled from eligibility  lists of qualified applicants as determined by employment tests related to each job.  The tests are any combination of a review of experience and training, written, oral, or performance tests.
