A new version of SB2000 Classroom was installed June 5, 2011.  The new features are:

1) multiple schedule capabilities

2) added control over which department in the Staff Directory the teacher's name will appear

3) gradebook features to provide an alternative to Easy Grade Pro

Multiple Schedule Capabilities

There is now a schedule parameter in the log in screen so you can select which master schedule you wish to use for attendance and grades.  It will remember the last one you logged into.  This will allow teachers to use SB2000 Classroom for the summer Extended Year Programs and also process grades for the second semester.  Prior to this feature, only one schedule was accessible. Teacher profile information, sub-pages and file manager data are common to all schedules.

Staff Directory Departmental Control

Teacher names automatically appear in the Staff Directory in every department for which they have sections.  One can now override this automation by selecting just one of the departments in which they teach.  This control is found in the Manage Menu, under the Staff Profile submenu item.  It's found on the General tab and is shown below.

Click on the listbox for the "List Me in this Department:" parameter and then select the department of your choice (only one).  Then click the Save button to save the change.  You can choose between all your departments (which is the default) or one of your departments. Regardless of your choice, the Aides department is automatically excluded and the teacher's name will not appear in that department if s/he has a student aide.

Gradebook Features

This is a major new feature that gives HBUHSD teachers an alternative to Easy Grade Pro.  Notice the "Use SB2000 Grade Book:"  checkbox parameter?  Do NOT check this on yet in the live system.  Training will be provided before this feature is used in the Fall 2011 semester.  If you check it in the live system now, the Parent/Student Portal will look there for progress grades instead of the Easy Grade Pro export area; so don't do that yet.

Much more info will be coming on this new feature...
