Grade Marks Entry:
 There are three ways** to submit your progress grade marks into the SB2000 report card system for the 4.5, 9, 12 and 18 week grading periods;

1) manually enter them yourself into the SB2000 Classroom Class Marks area; How to for Online Grade Marks Entry
2) import them into the SB2000 Classroom Class Marks area from Easy Grade Pro the SB2000 Gradebook* via the
Import EGP Marks to SB2000 Task;  How to Import EGP Marks to SB2000 Task.
3
) post them from the Gradebook feature added to SB2000 Classroom in the Fall of 2011; How to
Post Gradebook Grades.

If you have no input for a section for the 4.5 or 12 week grading periods you may still click the Save Grade Marks button to remove the section from the registrar's grade entry tracking report. Progress report mailers will NOT be produced unless a meaningful mark is entered for a student. This “blank” submission is not necessary if you import grades from Easy Grade Pro.

Either way, the goal is to get them into the SB2000 Classroom Class Marks.  Once there, you can view and/or edit them further if you desire.  To manually enter or edit grades online, please read the  Instructions for Online Grade Marks Entry.

* Many teachers import their grades throughout the semester from Easy Grade Pro into the SB2000 Gradebook system which makes them available to students and parents on the Parent/Student Portal.  This can be done every day if desired.  However, that does not make them available to the SB2000 Classroom Marks area, from which report cards are mailed.  To do that, you must initiate the Import EGP Marks to SB2000 Task which only takes a couple minutes.  You only perform this activity eight times per year instead manually entering the grades into the Class Marks area.  Remember, you must initiate this SB2000 Classroom import process; it's not automatic. This process will transfer the grades from the SB2000 marks area (imported from EGP) into SB2000 Classroom marks.  Afterwards, you may use SB2000 Classroom to edit them further by changing grades or adding comments at the Class Marks screen.

** You can choose a different method for each section if you wish, but grades for all students in a section must initially be entered the same way. Once grades appear in your SB2000 Classroom Class Marks area you can use SB2000 Classroom to edit them further.  WARNING: The Import Marks Task will wipe out any data (grades, comments, etc.) you already have for the entire section that you import.  It is only meant to be used once per section per grading period so do not import sections that already have data unless you want that data, including comments, erased.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR 12 WEEK PROGRESS REPORTS: Per district policy, Information Services will automatically add comment 18 to every student's progress record where a teacher marks a grade of D or F. These comments will be added right before the progress reports are mailed so you won't see them in SB2000 or SB2000 Classroom immediately. This has been our practice since November 2008 and will be followed for all future 12 week reports, and only for the 12 week reports. Comment 18 reads “Student is in danger of receiving an F”.
